4 Week Body Transformation Reveal β The Struggle is Real
Hey Bleu Bells, π
Letβs get real this week, shall we? Iβm officially four weeks postpartum, and itβs been a rollercoaster β and not the fun kind. This week, I felt like absolute shit, to put it lightly. I had a plan β a solid plan, mind you β to follow through with postpartum pregnancy ab workouts on YouTube. You know when you have everything mapped out, and thenβ¦ life happens? Yeah, that was me this week. And let me tell you, when you donβt follow through with a plan, it hits you in the gut β literally and emotionally.

I didnβt do a single ab workout I planned, and now I feel extra bloated and sluggish. My body didnβt feel like my own this week. Itβs like Iβm stuck in this weird limbo where Iβm super self-conscious about my stomach. I feel like I havenβt made any progress with weight loss, and itβs frustrating as hell. π©
I have lost weight since the pregnancy, but I want a flat stomach like yesterday. I know this takes time, and it does not happen overnight. It also doesnβt magically disappear without you putting in the work! Honestly, the work is hard for me now because I fixate on how I want to look so bad that I become overwhelmed and shut down. I am no longer the same Shay who can fast all day, work, work out, wear a sports bra with workout pants, and go to Target and HEB confidently. It takes me longer to get dressed, and I pay extra attention to what I wear in public. Before this journey, it could have taken me less than 10 minutes to get dressed and out the door! I wore what I wanted anytime and felt comfortable with my body.
What I wear in public now.
I only feel confident with a waist trainer on now.
And on top of all that, Iβm not producing enough breast milk to keep up with Sariah. π Not eating enough certainly isnβt helping either, and Iβm feeling defeated β like Iβm in this bad space where Iβm not making the progress I want. Between trying to maintain a sleep schedule for Sariah, keeping up with day-to-day βnew mom life,β and wrapping my head around this new body, Iβm learning to navigateβ¦ Iβm struggling, yβall. π

I love this girl!!!
Itβs a lot. I feel like Iβm wasting towels and robes, dreading looking at myself in the mirror because I still feel (and look) like Iβm pregnant. And honestly, Iβm seeing someone different in the mirror β someone I need to address more aggressively for my peace of mind. But you know what? This is the reality of postpartum. Itβs not all bounce-back bodies and flat abs β itβs messy, emotional, and often overwhelming.
But Iβm here, sharing my journey's real ups and downs with you because I know Iβm not alone. Bleu Bells, if youβve been through this, Iβd love to hear your stories, tips, or even a bit of encouragement. Weβll push through this together because thereβs still hope of getting back on track deep down. πͺπ½
